Bringing in the "Big Guns"

Who better to design the "shopping center of the future" than technology genius Google? We're guessing that's the question Lake Nona Developer, Tavistock Development, asked themselves when enlisting a partner in crime. Intersection, a sister company of Google, is known for integrating technology into urban projects, much like the Lake Nona Town Center. According to Orlando Business Journal, Tavistock's vice president, Robert Thompson, was quoted saying "With us, we’ve asked them to examine the ever-changing retail industry, how can we bridge the digital world with brick-and-mortar." One of the concepts they are talking about are touch-screen kiosks on sidewalks and parking garages with sensors to guide drivers to open spots. Thompson was also quoted saying “We are trying to create solutions to problems that people aren’t even talking about yet,” We can't wait to see what they have in store.
